Professional Development
Online networks and web conference room discussions are a part of the innovative professional development opportunities offered. Web Conferencing is also available for members free of charge. CCA provides induction and orientation opportunities for new managers into the sector.
Advocacy
CCA represents members, promotes the sector and fosters support and recognition of adult education in a community setting. Key undertakings are engagement with federal, state and local governments and agencies, raising awareness of the sector with the media and the public, and identifying partnership and business opportunities with other like-minded industry groups and SMEs.
Group Tendering
CCA will facilitate groups of colleges and when appropriate, act as ‘lead’ in group wide tendering for delivery training through a national consortium of NFP locally owned providers. Collectively, our colleges will deliver projects that benefit an individual’s continuing education and provide effective outcomes for a community, business or government agencies.
Policy
CCA provides commentary and input into the adult and youth education policy debate. This includes advocating out members’ interests and recommendations via government submissions, participation in industry forums and dialogue with business groups. Key aims include ensuring the country achieves a greater skilled workforce for Australia’s future productivity needs via inclusive education and training opportunities such as those provided by CCA members’.
